FASHION NEWS: Dian Von Furstenberg and GapKids

Belgian born American fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg just launched this past April 25^th of 2013 the Limited Edition Explorers Collection for GapKids. Beautiful patterns, bright colors and her signature style are the elements present in this new project. Some of the pieces include her much celebrated wrap dresses, cute rompers, cropped pants, and colorful graphic t-shirts for toddlers and infants. The look for the little ones couldn't be complete without some accessories such as color-block sandals, adorable espadrilles and even turban headbands. Skinny jeans at Pike Place Market, Seattle

Dear fashion followers, I had the chance to visit beautiful Seattle, Washington this past week and go to the famous Pike Place Market. Between delicious spices, gorgeous flowers and interesting local art, fashion was very present with a variety of cute skinny jeans. Check out these three outfits that some Washingtonian ladies sported on the streets of the Emerald City.

The first woman combined salmon skinny jeans with a white blouse with salmon detailing, a black cardigan, a pair of grey ballet flats, a bold yellow handbag and a skinny belt, which was the last touch to a perfect outfit.

The second lady took a more casual approach mixing a print skinny jean that she rolled up to show her ankles, she pair them with a gray cotton sweatshirt, funky tennis shoes and a backpack.

The third outfit shows a girl with a pair of aqua skinny jeans, a pair of beige boots and a matching blouse and she rock the look with a short black leather jacket.

Mad Men’s Costume Designer Janie Bryant has brought us episode after episode a delicious slice of joy and style through all Betty Draper, now Betty Francis (January Jones) gorgeous outfits, beautiful office attires by Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) and Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) and let’s not forget the gentlemen, starting with the star of this TV show, Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser) and Roger Sterling (John Slattery), just to name some.

This 1960s style has revolutionized the screen and our closets once again. Men may now own a shawl-collar cardigan or a two button sport coat and women may have a pair of crop pants and a sleeveless shell top of their own. The glamour and elegance that the show presents is a reflection of the feeling of men empowerment and women beauty of those times.
