Mad Men’s Costume
Designer Janie Bryant has brought us episode after episode a delicious slice of
joy and style through all Betty Draper, now Betty Francis (January Jones) gorgeous
outfits, beautiful office attires by Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) and
Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) and let’s not forget the gentlemen, starting with
the star of this TV show, Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Pete Campbell (Vincent
Kartheiser) and Roger Sterling (John Slattery), just to name some.
This 1960s
style has revolutionized the screen and our closets once again. Men may now own
a shawl-collar cardigan or a two button sport coat and women may have a pair of
crop pants and a sleeveless shell top of their own. The glamour and elegance
that the show presents is a reflection of the feeling of men empowerment and women
beauty of those times.
If sharp
tailoring and womanly silhouettes is your thing, you can find some of these
pieces in Banana Republic, who in collaboration with Janie Bryant, designed a
collection for both men and women that is available in stores and online. You
can check it out in these links:
Also, don’t
forget that this April 7th, 2013 the 2 hour Season Premiere will
take place on AMC at 9 PM.
